a) Indian Students

The candidates should have passed 10+2 class with  Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recogniced board or university or its equivalent..

b) Foreign Students

Students of other nationality may be admitted for AME training classes, subject to the security clearance issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The required qualification will be equivalent to as that for Indian Students.

It will be ensured that they have passed the 10+2 class or equivalent ‘A’ level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.


The minimum age of a student, at the time of admission, must be 17 years. However, one should have completed the age of 20 years before submitting the application for issue of basic AME Certificate. 


The students will be subjected to a medical examination before they are admitted to the training institute by a doctor, holding at least an MBBS degree and by an ophthalmologist declares that the student is free from color blindness and other visual disorders.
